HPV Vaccine & eliminating HPV related cancers
A long time American Cancer Society volunteer, Katy is proud to say she began her career at the Society as a Relay For Life Community Manager. Katy worked alongside passionate volunteers in four Massachusetts communities to raise critical funds for the Society’s lifesaving mission. Katy has also served as a Mission Delivery Program Manager where she was responsible for the management of the Society’s cancer control programs and services such as Road To Recovery. Katy is thrilled to be in a position where she can utilize her extensive knowledge of the American Cancer Society to help donors achieve their philanthropic goals. Katy is a graduate of Clark University where she received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees. Katy is conversationally fluent in Spanish. When she is not at work doing her part in the fight against cancer, Katy likes to run the occasional marathon, and considers herself an amateur chef and travel expert. The presentation discusses the global HPV burden and it’s relationship to cancer and how we can make an impact in promoting the vaccine to help eliminate HPV related cancers worldwide.
